Well here is something your Girl friend or especially your Wife would hate to see in the garage. Too much time in the garage and not enough time in the house. On the left is Virgil Whiddon's 82x94 motor with pauter aluminium rods, fk89 and superflow heads. We were doing a little check out on his motor and found a couple of exhaust valves leaking so the heads are off to get a valve job. The motor in the middle is Jim's kick a__ street motor. Had to pull it out to get to the broken gear box and will split the case for the first time since it was put together just to get some history of how the main bearings are holding up. Just to be safe. On the right is Ron Rice's new motor. 82x94 with a turbo grind cam and it should see a hair dryer before too long. We are just setting up the deck. I have the tools for that, otherwise it would still be at Ron's shop. So this is how my month is going. There is no winter withdrawals here in So. Cal. Ok just a little, I want to drive.
Well if I don't update before too long, me and my wife would like to wish every one a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. And lets all wish for Santa to bring us billet aluminium and forged steel parts.

Happy Turkey day to all. Hope you didn't eat too much. You might slow down your car.
Jim and I took his car out to Pomona over the weekend to beat up on those Honda's. It was a two day event with qualifying on saturday and eliminations on sunday. We were allowed 3 qualifying passes on saturday and the day didn't seem to start out too smooth. On the first pass, the car only netted a 12.82 and the boost was up a little too high for what we were looking for. I went through the lights at just over 20 lbs. In the pits we turned down the boost and tried to adjust the new msd box. Originally we were trying to be conservative and had the box set up to retard 1 deg per pound. We figured maybe that was to conservative. So I did the math and wanted to retard to 24 deg full advance at 15 lbs, and came up with a .73 per pound.(off of 35 deg full advance before the retard) So I am out on the track to try it again. I put the car on the limiter and the car felt like it started a wheelie and then the throttle cable came off. The only good that came out of that run was I cut the best light of the day with a .001 (.501) reaction time. Yea buddy. We then Magiver the cable into staying on and go out and try again. I'm a little nervous at this point. I need to make something happen on this run because it was going to be our last. And bam, the car performed just like it was suppose to with a 12.22 at 108+.
Day 2
An awsom and nearly perfect day. Jim's car ran flawless until the the last pass. I had my game face on and was on the mark all day. I ran on my dial in twice. I dailed in a 12.23 on the first pass and won that easy, but the 60ft time was down so on the next pass i dialed up 12.28 and on the brakes ran 12.289. So after looking at the 1000 ft mark time, it said i should have ran a 12.20. So i dialed a 12.20 and then was given the bye, so here is my change to see. It ran a 12.204 at just over 109. By this time i think the announcer thought i was god, or maybe the next step down. hehehheheh Round 4 came quick, so thinking motor is hot, i dialed up plus i was going to run a slower car so i put on a 12.29 and won with easy. The cool thing is looking at the 1/8 mile time, I could have ran a 12.21. Here I am thinking,, damn this motor is consistent. Round 5 is here. It's the semi final. Feeling this is my day, we are going around this next car into the final and collect our 1200 bucks, I put the motor on the limiter, lights came down, and the car just shuttered inplace. Damn. s--- happens. Oh well. I went out to the garage to trouble shoot what it really might be, because I was thinking it might have been the spider gears or 1st gear, because as we pushed it back to the pits i didn't hear any think clunking. Well now I think we took some teeth off the ring gear. OUCH. But if you could have seen it. This heavy tank was was doing these perfect wheelies in most of the passes. We will get them next time. I must say jims car is set up perfectly now. What is also cool is it is in full street trim and all we did was lower the tire pressure and kept the boost just below 15lbs. If it wasn't for the gear box he could have pumped up the tires and drove home. You got to like that.

I just got a sneak peak at the next months VW Trends.Jim and I have our cars featured in the January 2000 issue. So now you can actually see some detail of the cars instead of these fuzzy internet pictures. So keep your eyes open for a RED and BLUE cover in the next week or so.

Just though I would let you in on what I did over the weekend. Jim and I are planning to take his car out to Pomona on Thanksgiving weekend at an import race, and see if we can take some money away from those Honda guys. Jim came up with the idea and handed over the driving chores to me for that weekend. So now I am a hired gun so to speak. Jim has also decided its time to step up on the ignition system, so he is trading in the old MSD soft touch rev limiter for a real MSD 6-BMT. BMT you say, it is a boost sensitive timing retard set up in a 6 box. pretty cool huh. It will retard the timing as the boost comes up so now we can run a real full advance on the street and let the box drop it down. (normally ran at 24 deg full advance.)
so here are a few pics of what we are doing.
the new box plus
wires. Like the R/C new beatle above. Also there is a new Berg heavy pully
that I think Jim is willing to sell. Didn't fit under the turbo exhaust.
this is the old rev limiter
and the new box. notice
the little knob on the side of the box. this is an adjustment for among of
retard in deg. per pound of boost.
threw this one in. this
is what powers his car when it comes to the electrical. just a good ol reliable
Optima up front held down by 3/8" bolts per nhra rules.
this
is an update on the carlsbad outing. Just thought I would show what happens
when you get alky a little lean. click on the picture for a larger view.
Although its not really much clearer. I also screwed up a little on the words
on the picture. And I am to lazy to change it right now. Its suppose to say
"notice the top piece is not covering the electrode any more"

YEA!!!!!! Well its kind of hard to make the noise on this page like I was in round three of the PRA World Finals. By now you can assume I had a good weekend. Although not perfect, but by no means a bad weekend. Here is the story of the fight to keep the championship. Going into this race, I was only 3 rounds ahead of Richard Leitinen. (No2 in points) For me to mathematically lock it up was I needed to make it to 4th round. (There are usually 5 rounds) If I would have went out in the 3rd and Richard won, we would tie in points and don't know how it would have been decided. So I decided it was going to be a full attack on this day. The car performed as usual, bogging in the first qualifying pass and then running a 12.46 and a 12.45 so I figure that the car was in good shape, as for me, I did rip off a .020 rt. (.520) in the second pass. At this time all I can think about is making some rounds and hope that Richard goes out early so I can have some breathing room. But as first and then second round went by, he was still in. And in the first round, I was playing with fire and tempting a red eye with a .016rt. (.516) This is usually just a little to close for comfort but I was still in. Round 3 was the deciding factor of my day being good or bad. If I win this round, I take the championship. I faced up against Jan Blair in the Bug Light car. Jan is a veteran driver that won't give you an inch. So I stepped up to the plate and ripped off a .013 light and had him covered. As I saw my win light come on for that round, A sense of relief came over me as I screamed in my helmet as I coasted to the end of the track. I've kept the Championship. I don't have to change the number on my car. Now for the not so perfect part of my weekend. Going into the semi finals (round 4) it was down to me, Richard and Colorado boy named Darin Mac. Well lucky me, I got the bye into the final and watched as Richard and Darin battled to see who goes to the final. Personally I wanted to have Richard in the finals so it would be the Number 1 Vs Number 2, a fitting end to a season. But it wasn't to be. Darin being a formidable driver (normally crews for the Rocky Mountain Motor works team) is known to be a good driver. And I knew you don't usually make it to the finals unless you have some skills (or serious luck like me) so I figure I had to step up and just take it from him. As I felt the car move up, in my mind I was thinking this is a Killer light and he would have to be perfect to beat me. And then it happened,,,,, it went from yellow to RED. Ouch. Well that's racing. As I went down the track, I though to my self, It must be a real close light. It ended up being a -.002 (.498) but I wasn't really upset at all, because I tried and was only a Nat fart away. Like my friend John Jalbert did to me at Carlsbad, it's not a bad loss, and I accomplished what I came out to do and keep the Number One on my car. Great Job Darin, just remember, what they say about revenge. Hehhehe There was an after race party at the hotel in honor of Geoff Hart's B-day. with pizza and lots of beer. A very nice way to end a great weekend and season. Happy Birthday Geoff.
Next up is the PRA Award Picnic being held on November 21st at Mile Square Park, site #5

Well I am winding
up for this weekend at Whitman's PRA finals and I got my camera hooked back
up to my computer. We were having some discusions of our garages and what
goes on in them on the
Cal
Look Forum. So I thought I would share what has happen last month at
my place. These pictures were from before Carlsbad. We were trying
out a new clutch on Jim's car and I was doing a little electrical troubleshooting
on Ken Gracy's bad to the bone baha. Plus Jim has put up a couple of new
pictures on his page, including some action shots from the Great Carlsbad
Adventure. Jims

Drag Day at Carlsbad.
What a great time. My hats off to the whole Lauffer family. (VW Paradise dragster) and the DKPIII club for putting out so much effort to make this happen. If you havent heard, there were 160 cars entered to go down the track and 1100 spectators. Now if you have ever seen Carlsbad, this is increadibly crowded. But what a day it was. I decided to do a little exparement and bump up the compression on my motor to see if I couldnt make the alky wake up some. I ended up dropping the deck height down .100" to get just over 11:1 compression. I went out and did some testing saturday night before the event to set up the jetting. I made a real soft pass and rolled out off the lights some 30 feet before i really sunk my foot into it. and shifting softly it was burning just the way i like it and ran over 108mph. My thought at this time is RIGHT ON this thing is going to hall a__. So I made a full pass only to find out that the motor leaned out in 4th gear and melted a plug. But i did beat a mustang in the process. Well the next day after a few changes, i proceeded to melt another plug and blister another. Although it did muster up a 12.23, 12.24, and a 12.27 all of which fell off in 4th with some low mph. I went ahead and put my money into the Bracket pot that was set up, I turned up the fuel pressure for the 3rd time going as high as 11 lbs. And yes you are right, the needle and seats will not hold this pressure. I was turning on and off the pump the whole time to keep from flooding it. Well round 1 came up and not yet knowing, this was to be my only real race of the day. I faced Robert Hemphill again. (He took me out in 1st round in Palmdale) So i had a little pay back comming his way. and sure enough every thing worked good, and got to back peddle as i came by him on the top end. Round 2 was now to go in the books and my opponent red lit against me, so i took this oppertunity to run it out the back door now that i have the fuel pressure all the way up. Wow it felt great and netted a 12.12 but only 107.5 still falling off on top end. Round 3 came around and this was the only person to really threaten me. My old friend John Jalbert brought out the old Green Wheenie. He had already taken out some pretty good drivers in the previous rounds and decided to take his best shot at me. Unfortunatly he red lit. BUT, Only by .001. a .499 light, so close to perfect. That would have been real hard to beet if he was just a tic slower. Great job John. I just hope i dont have to race him again, because Im sure he will be right there and i will end up getting the big L. you know how the saying goes if you dont red light some times your not trying hard enough. Well needless to say, the last two rounds came just as easy as the next two red lit again. This must be a record. I got 4 red lights against me.
MY LUCK IS BACK!!!!!!
There is a million ways to loose but only one way to win, and if you didnt have any luck, you might as well NOT play the lottery either.
There is a lot more discussion on the day at carlsbad going on here at the Cal look forum

Well, once again, luck is not on my side. Since the last 10 Sacramento Events I have attended, this was the 2nd time I missed the finals. The weekend started off great, running a 12.49 and 12.47 on gas on Saturday Night and even cutting a .009 light (.509) Sunday morning rolled around and I did the routine change over to alcohol, and this produced 3, 12.46 runs in a row with a .004 light to start things off. Confidence being high going into the first round made me feel like this was going to be a great day. Then as I staged the car in the right lane, I put the car on the limiter, looking to my left at the christmas tree, out of the corner of my eye, I saw my door click open. This took my concentration away for a moment. At this time, I was trying to comprehend all my thoughts of whats going to happen to the door, do i try to close it again, what if this, and what if that. I reallize that there is nothing i could do about it so as i looked back at the tree, the lights were coming down and i guess i just went into a panic and cut a BIG RED EYE, and my day was over. The good news for me is, I still have the points lead, due in part to Richard Laitinen went out in the first round as well. Ok i guess i still have a little luck on my side. I'm sure i will be on my best game, come the last race of the season at Whittman Az. on oct. 31st. Mark your calender and be there. Plus since the Vegas race has been canceled there is a way to get out those racing aggretions at the all VW day at Carlsbad Raceway on oct. 10. What i am hearing is this is going to be a great turn out. Flyer

Ok, I am woking on the fix for the pictures not showing up. It will take a few days, but I got this page working again. It's time to wind up for the Sacramento race and put my car back on the street tires like it is suppose to be. For those of you who don't know yet. the VEGAS race has been CANCLED.

The Denver Fineline
Bug In.
First off, what a great trip. My morning at the track started off pretty good. I ran the fan belt with the fan on it this time as well. I cracked off a couple of great lights first thing in the morning with a .509 and then a .506. Thinking it this was a little too close for comfort I backed off and the rest of my lights were in the .540's A very comfortable position. My car ran a best of a 13.53 in first round bogging out of the hole all day on the slicks. (Slicks were used because the first time I went to Denver, I used the street tires and they would not let me launch in the grove, instead, putting me out in the marbles.) I even got them up to 22lb and the launch chip at 6000rpm. But I did pull the wheels off. :)
None the less, in the second round, pilot error took over. As I caught the guy I was racing, I passed him and lifted a little too much and didn't have the power to recover and he nipped me on the line by .002 seconds. (The equivalents to a nat fart.) I have won this way before so I guess I must loose this way some times as well. I was only a soar looser for 5 minutes and then had a smile on my face again. The good news is I am still in first in points due to the No. 2 man, Richard Laitinen, went out in the first round. Now its time to take no prisoners and prepare for Sacramento.
The Picture above is John Redding and I having a beer, bench racing and checking out the THE CALIFORNIA LOOK, NOSTALGIA VW DRAG RACING and HOT STREET FORUM from his house in Grand Junction, Colorado on Friday night before the race. Thanks John for giving Amanda and I, a place to crash.

I have put up a few more pictures in the tech info on the limiter straps for the rear. I am now winding up to go to the Denver race in a few weeks. If you missed the VW Panic car show, it was a blast. I went to just hang out, chew the fat with other VW nuts and ended up taking home a trophy in the Special Interest class. My hats off to Gary Justus and his whole family for taking the time out to organize such an event. I am also looking forward to going down to Fullerton Ca. and take my car to the DKPIII cruise night. This is head on the first sunday of every month from 7-11pm at the Dairy Queen near the corner of Orangethorp and Brookhurst. If you ever get a chance, check it out. You will see some of the fastest street VW's there. All VW's welcome and there is no charge.
7-15-99
I put up some pictures of my limiter straps in back and the roll bar tie in of the frame horns under my Tech Info to the left.

The potential new look for the motor. Back to street trim. What do you think.
Not sure if I will leave it this way, but I am just playing around while my gear box is in the shop for some experimental check up. Nothing is wrong with it, just trying out some new style axles and doing a look over after 26 passes on them. I am working on some more pictures of they way the cage ties in to the frame horns and on the rear limiter straps. So come back soon.

Well my luck ran out. Not even my new tow vehicle could help me win this one. I got my a__ WHOOOPED at the lights in first round. My day started great. At the high altitude, my car managed to dip into the 12's and first three runs netted a 12.82, 12.84, and a 12.83, and my lights were right on. Got to 1st round, and that was it. I raced Robert Hemphill, a very tough competitor. He too, can cut a good light. Well, he stepped it up that much more just for me and with my crapy .109 (.609) light, Robert laid down a .014 (.514). Even if I had cut an average light, I would have been hard pressed to catch him. And now the saga continues. With my first round loss, and the number 2 man in points, Richard Laintinen pulling off a great victory today. He has closed the points gap to 40 points. This now forces my had to make the Denver race to try my best to keep out ahead in points. More to come. Just had to give some same day coverage.

The Classic Weekend. What a blast. Unfortunately I missed the DKP Cruise, but my weekend started at the West Coast Metric party on friday night. Then it was off to the Berg rally, ok the end of the rally, we ended up just going strait to Knolwoods. Had a burger and beer, chew the fat, and then it was time for the Classic. Now this is a big show. I took my car down and entered it in the competition class and won 1st place. I think there was only one other car in the same class. Its still a great feeling to win. Got to meet a lot of new people from the corospondance on the internet. This world is really getting small.
I also picked up a new tow vehicle last week. So I was doing my best to set it up for towing and try to get my car cleaned up. This is why I didnt get a chance to finish hooking up the head lights and tail lights. Ok, I did procrastinate the week before. Any ways, I ended up getting a 97 Ford E350 one ton 15 passenger van. (My RTD Bus) with a V10 arg, arg, arg. more power.
Next on the agenda, June 27th at Palmdale. PRA points race, with car show and swap meet. Be there.
6-2-99
I scanned in some flyers for the Berg Rally and the next stop on the PRA circuit. I put the link in the left column. Now if you live in the So. Cal. area, you have no reason to miss either one. We will see you there. Don't forget The Classic in Irvine.

Can you say
lucky? Believe it or not, I came out on top again. After 6 rounds of
eliminations, I meet up with the Queen of Pro Eliminator, Nicole Linkert-Thomas.
In the semi finals, there were 3 of us left, and Edie Amen had the bye on
the previous round so it was a toss up between Nicole and I, who would get
the free ride to the final. Luck is setting in at this time and I won the
coin toss to get the bye. I was willing to bet that Nicole would make it
into the final with me, so I needed to get the upper hand any way I could.
Knowing this is some times a Psychological game, I figured I would use this
bye to cut as good a light as possible, to give Nicole something to thing
about going into the final. So that's exactly what I did. I clicked off a
.002
light. But during the 4th round, I started to have a problem with
the idle setting, looked at it going into the 5th round and adjusted what
I thought would
help.
Did the good reaction time and the problem came right back. I pulled into
the pit only to find the left arm on the linkage was cracked. So as the track
officials were calling my name to come back up now, I wrapped some safety
wire around it in hopes it would stay together. I idled up to the staging
lanes, idled up to the starting line, not doing a burn out, so as never to
touch the throttle, staged the car, mash the throttle once and off I went.
I ended up missing 2nd gear, got on my way again, and as Nicole was catching
me, the linkage broke all the way around the 1000ft mark. One carb closed
up, the car fell on its face as Nicole came right around me. I figured I
loss for sure, but then my win light came on. Unf#$@%&$ believable, my
win light came on. She had cut a bad light, had to chase me down as hard
as she could and ended up braking out. Just my luck. All in all, a great
weekend. My car performed fairly well, the tires came around, I ran a 12.37
in round 2, and the night before, I tested on gas and the air being great
in the month of May, netted me my best time on gas with a
12.40
I wish I could tell you what some of the racers did, but unfortunately I just don't have enough time to see it all. But what I did see, was pretty awesome. Dave Perkins in his Car Custom sponsored Super Street car, set the pace and new record at 10.14 on Saturday night and then backed it up in eliminations with a 10.16. These guys were on a role. I'm sure that the guys in the Shawn Geers camp, were scratching there heads, figuring out a way to catch him. They did meet up with Chihiro Abe and the EMS crew in the final. Abe showed up with a new car, and with the expectations of ironing out some bugs, put him self in a great position and into the final, but Dave and his record braking car, prevailed. Great job Guys.

For those of you who didn't make it out to the Phoenix race, John Maher put up some pictures of some of the cars in attendance. Go check it out.

We are doing a little work to Jim's page and will try to spruce it up a little more, so we did put up a few pictures he took with his camera, and after the carlsbad event , the film was finally developed and we scanned them in. Check it out

Ohhh, I forgot to tell you about last weekend. I took a trip down to carlsbad to go do some testing. There was an informal VW get together at the track set up by I believe the DKPIII club and VW Paradise. What a blast, I think all the v-8 guys were wondering what the h_ll are all these little insects doing here. hehhehe. There must have been close to 40 VW's going down the track, and that's not including the spectators that came in there VW's. We even got our own staging lane to boot. Scott Lauffer from VW Paradise put up a $100 for the best reaction time of the day as well. Darn I didn't get it. My best reaction for the day was a .516 and rumor had it some one cut a perfect light (.500). Except for a HONDA puking up antifreeze all the way down the track, the day went pretty smooth. that means that the VW gang didn't slow the program down one bit, ok I think there were a few gear boxes lost. As for me, I wanted to work on my new tires some more. I got 4 runs out of it for the day and right off the trailer with the fresh motor, it ran a 12.67 spinning the tires pretty bad out of the hole, but the good news is that it ran 106.73mph. hasen't ran that fast in a while. So I tried something different and just did a dry hop instead of a burn out thinking maybe I'm hurting the tires by heating them up too much. Well that was the wrong thing to do. It felt like I was just reving the motor up and slowed to a 12.90something. So her I come right back into the staging lanes and they pulled me out right away, no cool down time, oh well I'll try it. Did an extra long burn out, got the car a little bit side ways and there's Dave Cormac taking a picture. I'm not sure but I thought Dave jumped right out into the lane in front of me to get a head on picture. I launched the car and it felt allot better, and came back with a 12.55. Ok, heres my thought at this time, do a real long burn out, do every thing right and I'm back in the 40's where I want to be. Burn out went well, I think I covered the car in smoke, cut the good light on this pass and booooo;yyeaaaaa I missed second. Oh well, It still ran a 12.90 at almost 106. Good thing this wasn't a real race. I'm sure I won't let that happen again.
Wow I'm slacking off a little here, The VW Jamboree, another great weekend, got the motor running the night before and wiped the car down that morning and headed out to Irvine for the show. It was a little unorganized but still fun. We got the BBQ going and talked to a lot of friend and met some new ones. The people around the VW sceen are the greatest. Any way, I didn't win any thing, but Jim entered his car in the Semi Custom class and came home with a third place, not to shabby for how big that class was. A good day was had by all. Two VW packed weekends in a row. Next up, Sacramento Bug-O-Rama on memorial weekend. there's more info on this page here.

added and info page on my motor and stuff to the left

added an info page on Jim's turbo motor to the left

OK, A few days before the VW Jamboree. Are you going? Just finished putting Jims motor back together and even finished mine a few days ago. I have had a few inquiries to Jim's motor on what's in it etc. So I will make up a tech page for those who are interested in it, and maybe one for my stuff as well. Oh yea, remember, Sacramento Bug O Rama is this Memorial day.
We changed the color of the sheet
metal on Jim's motor, what do you think. It is just a touch darker then this
picture displays.
My motor, waiting on the return
of gear box
Ok, if you haven't seen it yet,
the top picture is from the April issue of
Volksworld Magazine, and the bottom
picture was taken by Bryan
Robinson of Hot Shots Photography, which do you like? I like the side
shot because you can see the sponsors names etc. but its hard to say no to
PAN, Can you say PAN. The bottom one really gets my vote.

I am now recovering from last weekend. So today, we pulled Jim's turbo motor out of my car, so we can do some preventative maintenance this weekend. (Check rod bearings) I went ahead and whipped up a few pics of turbo equipment below. Plus, a few people asked about my shock tower extensions, so here are a few close up shots of them as well.
This is all it takes to make
a 16 second motor turn into a 12 second bad a__ street motor
Look at these little ported
044 no nothing heads, why make them flow when you can just force it
in.
Ok, it is still dirty under
there, that's this summers project to clean the underside up. Any way, I
made a coupling that screws to the top of the shock from 3/8th to 1/2" for
the heim joint. to extension is a piece of 3/8" plate (Jims car has this
cool looking aluminium extension, if i get a chance ill try to get a picture
of it). I used the original mounting bolt, put a spacer on it and large washer
to hold the extension in place. the extension has a whole in it big enough
to go over the little inplace nut on the top of the tower. The two small
holes use to have 1/4-20 bolts going through them to hold the bottom inplace,
but recently i welded the bottom up.
I really need to rotate this
picture. The shocks are originally for a Chrysler 64-74.

Since the last update, I have been busting my a__ to get my car finished to go racing. Well it paid off. We went out to the Phoenix Bug-O-Rama 25 and I came home with a win. Got a few lucky brakes and races Greg Timms in the final. (son of Steve Timms) I should have lost in the semi's against Richard Leitinen, he cut a light on me, got out ahead and lifted a little and broke out. He is one of the toughest ones out there, and I know the next time I race him, he wont make that mistake again. So now that I have a chance to breath again, I put up a few more pictures. Oh yea, the weekend before, I started my motor and found a problem, so Jim to the rescue, he let me use his turbo motor again. No there were no big wheelies this time. I was trying out the new tires and they just didn't hook up like my old tires did. Need to work them in a little. Besides, its hard to win a race when you cant see the track. hehehehe
Next on the agenda will be to take my car to the VW Jamboree and to carlsbad on the 8th.of May. Hope to see you there.

Head liner will be done Monday. I had Steve Feinberg stop by Saturday and put some lettering on the car. Yea I know, it was hard to take the lettering being put on. It was looking so good with out it. Plus the motor is complete. A few more pictures.

Yipppeeeee, I got my car back last night before I went to work. :-)
Look real good. Maybe not the perfect show car quality, but for a race car, just fine. I put up a few pics. I had it painted the original vw L390 Gulf Blue. (original color of the car when it was born) It is just a little darker then the previous color.
